HEAT PUMP SERVICE TIPS
AIR NOT HOT ENOUGH
Check the filter for excessive dirt , debris and residue that may be clogging the air flow. check coils inside and outside for debris and snow
OUT DOOR UNIT FREEZING
Check to make sure you have snow cleared from out door unit. take note to if unit is going through defrosting mode
HEAT PUMP NOT RUNNING
Not to sound redundant but check air filter. a blocked air filter can cause the High pressure switch to trip causing heat pump to not run.
NO POWER
Begin by checking the heat pump power source at the breaker. A tripped circuit breaker switch is possible and might be your answer. also some townships require a switch at top of steps so check for power switch at top of basement stairs
NOT BLOWING SUFFICIENTLY
We advise to check air filter immediately and look for blockage. Also see if blower motor is running by listening to air handling unit.
